The right time to move....
A friend shared this and I thought to share, well, it made a lot of sense to me. You should have something to hold. Read through:
Put a frog into a vessel fill with water and start heating the water.
As the temperature of the water begins to rise, the frog adjust its body temperature accordingly.
The frog keeps adjusting its body temperature with the increasing temperature of the water. Just when the water is about to reach boiling point, the frog cannot adjust anymore. At this point the frog decides to jump out.
The frog tries to jump but it is unable to do so because it has lost all its strength in adjusting with the rising water temperature.
Very soon the frog dies.
What killed the frog?
Think about it!
I know many of us will say the boiling water. But the truth about what killed the frog was its own inability to decide when to jump out.
We all need to adjust with people & situations, but we need to be sure when we need to adjust & when we need to move on. There are times when we need to face the situation and take appropriate actions.
If we allow people to exploit us
physically, emotionally, financially, spiritually or mentally they will continue to do so.
Let us decide when to jump!
Let's jump while we still have the strength.
This thing called friendship......
Have you ever imagined what people say about you? Have you ever heard some weird stuff about you? Have you wondered how much of your secrets are been told? Have you imagined the stories buttered with lies said about you? Sometimes it's better to be ignorant, sometimes it's better never to know what has been said about you. I hear on radio and TV, when people say about the strangest rumour said about them, and it amuses me like crazy. But now I am in the shoes of those who hear the most hilarious and insane stories about themselves. I think there should be a limit to what people formulate in their minds, it's just extreme evil to hear things that can only be heard as a make up story for movies or plays, you know that kinda thing right?
I'm not so sure how people condemn, lie and spread rumours and secrets to the world. I will one day and very soon write about the evil make up stories I have heard about me lately. It's crazy how people cook up stories like that??? For the love of God, this should be a friend?
Friendship indeed has gone sour, just when I was recovering from the mild one earlier this year, BOOM, this hit me. Perhaps, I should play this as a script....It should sell big time. Haba, friendship is now about pretense, the interesting part is knowing a lot of stuff that has been said and playing along (nollywood drama inside friendship), really a sad one.
We loose good friends just because we betray them, let out their secrets, play with the trust they ever had for you. Where lies true friendship? Where are good friends? Who do we share our little problems with and not have them in the ears of a thousand people. My children would know better than this, Papa Ginika and I will teach them well #Smiles.
Enough said, I'm working on my premiere for my first movie- Gone Grey, directed by Sobe Charles Umeh and co-produced by Seyi Hunter. It should be a good one. Kai, but friends are dangerous sha, nawa. #SMH

My Natural Hair...
Tips for a healthy natural hair:
1. Use conditioner every time you shampoo.
Conditioner helps replace the lipids and proteins inside the hair shaft, as well as seal the cuticle to help prevent more damage from happening so that you can get your hair to grow longer and look healthier.
2. And don't shampoo every time you shower.
Here's why: The purpose of shampoo is to wash away dirt and product build up, but it can also take essential natural oils that keep strands soft and healthy along with it.
3. Apply an oil or mask treatment weekly.
Because hair that touches your shoulders or beyond can be several years old and most likely needs more TLC than normal conditioner.
4. Consider trying hair-boosting supplements.
Your body requires many vital nutrients to create new hair. Try a supplement to get these nutrients.

Meet OUR WCW, the beautiful Barby
My name is Barbara Ukamaka Okwaraononobi. Barby is the 2nd out of four amazing siblings and was born on 19th of June. I don’t have a favourite food and I love music, art and books. A graduate of University of Nigeria and a young lawyer with an amazing personality.
Years before.....(Desperate Chicks)
Desperate Chicks was one of the best times of my life while in school. It all started after I did a little voice over for an artist in Manger Studios after which I was introduced to Stormrex and Ursla by Dekumzy and next thing we were scribbling away lyrics and cracking jokes. I had so much fun and also found myself in the process. It was also pretty challenging because I was a Law Student and I must not flunk! I would go to the studio after classes and get back to school in time for a little studying and the next day of course. I figured if I had to do both at the same time without negative effect on my academics I had to put my head down. Amazingly, my parents never objected.
Desperate Chicks may not have made so much money but it was a talent-crazy driven group. The beautiful thing about the group was the diversity in singing style. Stormrex, Ursla and I had different singing styles and most times we wanted to do the same song differently. I think that oddity was one
of the things that made the group unique back then. I totally enjoyed my time with Desperate Chicks, working with Dekumzy (our producer and manager) was creatively interesting. He is indeed talented and those 3 girls were amazing back then.

I love what I do. I have been a Lawyer for 4 years now and it has been an exciting career. I did core Litigation for a year before going into Corporate Law Practice and Entertainment Law Advisory. I still sing but not as a commercial artist. It’s a God-given talent that must be used. I still keep in touch with people I met in the music industry some of whom are actually my clients now.
There is always a reason for everyone we come across. Being nice, it doesn't cause a thing rather gives room for favour.
And yes, for the sake of famzing I have to post a picture of both us, it was three years ago tho but hey.....

LIFE AT THE ROUNDABOUT by Comedian Forever
As a kid i grew up to depend on my parents,
As an adult, i am growing to know that they now or would eventually depend on me.
As shocked as i am, i realise that the route with which i leave my house, is the route with which i return.
I guess there's a roundabout where life naturally turns.
We defeacate to empty our stomach, of which the emptiness of the stomach prompted us to eat.
The barber needs someone to cut his hair too.
The singer needs to listen to songs.
The teacher has to be taught
The father was fathered
The designer needs someone to take his measurements
The child grows to start walking while the old man grows to stop walking
The man who sells casket will be carried in one...
The roundabout is a place where we are enabled to turn round to the place where we started.
I believe that life is lived at the roundabout because we grow extremely old into the same dependence unto which we were born.
The end of life really takes us back to the beginning.
Life really ends where it started.
The best way to live is to die to life
In like manner, the earth ends it's day where it started....
It's not like you do for me and i do for you.. No...No..
It's natural. Everything you do just happens to you
That's why the man who does evil gets evil in return.
Thus the one who does good receives good in life
What goes around comes around.
Indeed life is lived at the roundabout.

Thoughts for the day, by African Mail
Marry your best friend. Marry someone who you wouldn’t mind waking up to every day for the rest of your life. The one who makes you glad to be alive. Marry someone who drives you crazy. The one who frustrates you. The one who calms you. Marry the one you don’t mind fighting with, because they will be fair about it. Don’t marry someone who gives their ego more importance, than they give you. Marry someone who makes you the best version of yourself. The one who believes in you, even when you don’t. The one who stands by you, through thick and thin. Marry someone you can’t imagine your life without. Marry the one you are "insanely" in love with. And the one who is "insanely" in love with you. Marry the one who knows what you want to say, when you’re too tired to say it with words. The one you can spend comfortable silences with from time to time. Marry your soul mate. Marry your best friend.
How many times are you going to keep ignoring the signs that someone doesn't want you? How many times are you going to keep arguing with someone about not loving you? If you are giving someone your all and you constantly feel depleted in the end, then you are giving your love to the wrong person. Anyone who understands love knows that, what you pour into me, I have to pour right back into you. Your peace and sanity is just as important. Your smile matters just as much. Stop trying to force your way into someone's life when there is someone else out there patiently waiting to invite you in.
Working out too much can mess with your period
By now you know that exercise can help alleviate your biggest issues. While that is still true, experts now say that overdoing it on the treadmill can act actually do the opposite an lead to hormonal imbalances, irregular bleeding, and excessive spotting. Now, this doesn't mean you get to write off your period as an excuse to skip the gym.
A clinical professor says its best to aim for 30 minutes of moderate exercise per day, and get plenty of rest.

Been a long time.....
I can't believe I ignored my baby (blog) for five days, my bad. Been super busy of late. Remember I said I had a new project I was to work on? Yeah, it came through, It finally did.
I remember years back when my cousin tried to talk me into the movies, in his words "you can do this, you've got the zeal, you've got the drive and strength", but I saw myself always nonchalant about it. Sometime in December I had a rethink of a lot of stuff and ideas I had and decided it was time to put a lot to action, the movie production was one of my priorities, then an online radio and a few ideas I have up.
Procrastination wasn't one of the vices I needed to bring in to the new year, so I put a call across to the cousin, his excitement wasn't hidden and of course, lots of encouragement from him. We scheduled meetings, I was schooled about the very vital parts of production, I was introduced to a few who have left an indelible mark in this industry. Then the plan, then the story, then the cast, the crew, then the budget, then the funds, then the execution.
Meeting with the cast and crew was exceptionally great and educative. Indeed everyone is important in his/her own way, everyone has a thing to offer. A day was scheduled for call time, we had selected days to camp for the shoot. I met the cast, they were simply amazing, Judith Audu- the popular actress, blogger, radio host and amazing personality made it easy, she's a definition of humility and a teacher too, despite the accident on set, she kept on working. Total dedication to work, we love the beautiful Judith and admire her strength. Stanley Nze- the ever cheerful soul, good actor, great singer and indeed a true MOG, made it easy. Uncle Funso Adeolu is a father, a genius, a veteran in this, effortless in his work and I must add very patient. Tamara Eteimo- the beautiful, classy and easy going one who taught me some essential ingredients about the job and would say "don't worry production must go on". Angel Vara- the happy and ready to work wife and actress, made it easy with her smiles and support. Oh and there was Boj, Blessing and Amaka- great actors, who gave out their best effortlessly.
To the crew- the PM, the gaffer, DOPs, continuity, sound, the driver.....it was amazing. And to Seyi Hunter, the actress and co producer- active and strong willed, to the Director, Sobe Charles Umeh- the genius on set, hard worker, always cheerful, a creative personality. It was totally awesome.
Big shout out to this cast and crew of Gone Grey.

OLAJUMOKE SUNDAY ORISAGUNA : A PORTRAIT WITH GRACE by Kunle James
I only recently started thinking it was important to make 'behind -the - scenes videos of my photography sessions . I hardly, however make time to go through the footages simply because I find it uncomfortable looking at myself on screen and for the obvious fact that I sound weird and embarrassingly loud when I shoot .
Yesterday however I sat with filmmaker @emaedosio as we combed through go-pro footages to see if we captured the very moment. Olajumoke a bread hawker from the Sabo market bakery, walked entirely by coincidence unto our set of our Thisday style shoot for@tiniegram the moment didn't look special at all. If anything she stood there a little confused. Some people asking her to leave the set and others asking her to stay. I signaled if it was ok to take her photograph and she agreed and I pressed on my shutter so she could move ahead. My main subject of interest was the Okada driver that had slowed down just before she arrived .Okada riders have that cool Lagos vibe and always happen to add a bit of swag to street portraits. I was wrong to have paid her such little attention. Ever frame with her in it was perfect .. I had found a second subject in the Tinnie's story. A young beautiful hawker who could have served as a love interest of some sort .Digitally I made the red in her dress match @tiniegramsleeves to create a connection between them.
When the magazine came out last week and the images hit social media , I was proven right this girl split the limelight with the main subject effortlessly ...Questions and comments started to fly : Was she a model ? How did we convince the model to balance all that bread on her head. The buzz about her multiplied when I clarified that she indeed wasn't a model at all but simply stumbled on our set. I immediately began my search for her .If so many felt she was beautiful enough to be a model.. Then maybe she was mean to be one .I was going to find a way to make it happen .I had assistants leave word with people in the area we shot her and to my delight the very next day , she showed up at my studio ..
OLAJUMOKE ORISAGUNA : GRACE. (PART 2)' Aso kan na ni mo wo kiri Lana '.. Jumoke the 'model' the Internet had been searching for speaks almost no English. She explained how she had worn the exact outfit in our photograph the day before and someone showed her her own photograph on his phone from face book. A mallam led her to my studio that morning.
She narrated her journey to lagos ...A hair stylist from Ire in Osun state but not making enough profit between she and her husband , a sliding door installer in from same village ,to care for their two young children .
At the invitation of a distant relative who knew someone operating a bakery, she relocated lagos with her 14 month old daughter to give bread hawking a try , leaving her husband and older 5 year old behind .
As I listened to her I wandered if the beauty I had seen on my screen as I edited my image was a fluke...well until she smiled ., I realized that I was wrong ., I had in fact ,underestimated the beauty of this 27 year old woman. As always ., it was her eyes and of course her perfectly chiseled features that jumped out at you when she chuckled .This lady belonged in front of my camera .After a conversation with her husband telling him the story of our meeting I decided I was going to photograph her that very afternoon..Within an hour..Bimpe Onakoya , one of Nigeria's leading makeup artist and Zubby one of my favourite hairstylist were at my studio to work magic. They had both followed the story online and were more than happy to put in their very best for her.
Olajumoke .., with curly extensions out, revealed a short natural Afro that beautifully hugged her face.@Bimpeonakoya also had decided to keep the makeup minimal... She stepped in front of my camera and I almost couldn't recognize her. She moved different too.Jumoke looked straight into my lens emoting like she had done this all her life.... I knew we had found a star.
OLAJUMOKE ORISGUNA : GRACE ( part 3) During the course of the day, @emaedosio who was making a short documentary about the process had asked her what she really wanted to do .
'Ka ma kiri Buredi ko suwon ' she explained that bread hawking wasn't the most profitable business but put enough food on her table. It also put a roof over a head.. Howbeit a roof she shared with scores of other hawkers.
She was a trained hairdresser back in Osun state but her family could not afford the necessarily 'freedom ' ceremony; a passing out ritual that gives a trainee a sometimes unwritten permission to start a full-fledged salon.
We all decided that the makeover would be incomplete if it ended at the studio. Everyone started to reach out to their contacts and through Bimpe we were able to get her a meeting with Ugo the pioneer of Make-me salon.
As a result of the buzz she generated from the Thisday cover our model is now close to starting an internship at@makemesalon and has been offered an additional internship with @sarisignaturea famous Lebanese owned salon on the island.
To pay Jumoke her model fee from her first job in front of the camera we called@_ujumarshall one of Nigeria's and matched her fees .She's been offered a modelling contract with the help of@godsonukaegbu from a @fewmodels. She's also had @payporte reach out to her to be model on their next billboard campaign.
This is clearly only the beginning of another chapter in Jumoke's story. Though it seems accidental it s clearly Divine.
Just this morning, mentor of mine offered to foot the bill for her accommodation, education as well as her child’s. This finally makes it possible to be finally reunited with her husband and older child.

Happy Valentines day lovelies....
Been almost forever, I have been super busy. I apologise for my absence, but trust me it was for a good reason. Well, I thought to write and wish you my Blog Fam, a beautiful Valentines' day. Take it easy tho.
Love is indeed a beautiful thing, it's super amazing to be in love with someone who reciprocate even more than you show it. True love makes you radiate, it brings out the youth in you, it unconsciously tells the whole world how happy you are from the inside. The smile never stays fake, it gives you the zeal to do a lot. Love is patient, it tolerates, it never keeps a grudge. It's the reason we have the strength to move on. It sparkles our life. It gives us that sense of belonging.
Love is priceless, it forgives our wrong and beautifies our entire being. For those of you in love, be
patient, enjoy every moment, love with no resentment. And for those who are yet to find the
"him/her", take a chill, yours will come. And as for me, I pray to grow old with Papa Ginika and love him mercilessly, lol.
Enjoy the Valentines day, say "I love you" to at least five people and put a smile on their faces. My Valentines' day is totally awesome, enjoying every single second.
Please drop comments and let us know how you spent or are still spending your day. You can hashtag #ilove(write your spouse's name). So after writing about your escapade, you end with #IloveBimbim or #IloveClare. #hehe
P.s: i'll resume tomorrow but in the meantime, let me enjoy my fully booked day *sunslides
