Some guys sha.....

Annoying day it was for me today. Not so sure if I like the Remita System, okay may be it's good, yes I get the whole concept- trace our money, be able to monitor where it goes to, yes I get it. But there should be better ways to improve it bikonu. Spent the whole day trying to get a Remita Retrieval Reference number for Corporate Affairs and at the end a simple mistake made couldn't be corrected and I have to pay for it.

While waiting for my turn in that very long queue, I overheard a young man's conversation, apparently he was talking to bae. The good thing about this long wait was the cool temperature in the banking hall so at some point I forgot I stood for more than 45 minutes. Well back to uncle lover boy, so uncle started with the regular, "what's up bae, I'm in the bank", that to me wasn't a problem‎ o until uncle said "bae, I told you I was going out with Chike and the crew, hmm, those guys eh, they all came with some girls even Muyiwa who is newly married o, hmm, they kept on asking me what's up with me cos I was the only one without a babe, baby you see your boy is good o, I did not even look at the other girl's friend who kept on throwing herself on me, baby I'm good o forget, if you see what my guys were doing, baby even that Funke in my office, I told you bout her, she is still doing her own there but abeg, so you see bae, I'm a good boy o, I have tried sha, since we started dating I've been......". Nawa, I just feel it wasn't necessary knowing he was in a public zone, I also hate when a guy tries to make a lady feel she should hold on to him because he hass been good, *hisses* abeg, we also
have some ladies who keep themselves for you men and don't preach the Gospel of hold me tight less you loose me. I just hate to hear the "there are so many girls here, 2 girls have been eyeing me here, I am doing this because of you, oh please uncle, you're making it too obvious that it is a struggle for you. I remember when a friend celebrated one year of faithfulness that he never slept with another girl, he only would kiss and touch bori, dude!!! Fear God na. I feel some of these guys who rush to claim innocence are those who get involved every second. World pipu, nawa, I have had different experiences that I fear a lot of "supposed" genuine talks from our uncles. God help us sha.

Biko do what is right and if you can't, do the wrong thing, get on with life, mess up. It's your choice at the end of the day. ‎ Good night Fam.

Gone Grey, The Movie...

Amidst the tight schedules and preparing for my last semester as an M.Sc student, my first movie- Gone Grey is almost out of the oven, just a little time and we are good to go. I love my poster, I am yet to officially release it, tickets are almost ready, hopefully by tomorrow, *Yipee*, it's been a good year for me. I remember when I thought it would be a bad year just in January, but NEVER, it became brand new for me. He turned the captivity of Clare and I was like those that dreamed, Praise God. #laughs.

So Fam, the premiere will be in April, I should give a date by today or tomorrow once I can put everything in place by today. I'm super excited about this project.
In the meantime I designed a mug and a tee shirt for Gone Grey. I hope you like them though.

May God bless the work of our hands and may Our work have value. Shout out to sombori I know that ‎won a cheque yesterday, hardwork pays indeed.

Special shout out to the hardworking bebes and bobos. God bless you big.‎

A good opportunity with the Tribeless Group

So I got a shot as a guest speaker with the Tribeless group. A group of young talented artistes, ranging from actors to singers, a lot of talented young stars. I will be speaking on the topic ; "How to monetize your talent as an artiste".

I have always wanted the opportunity to talk to a group of young talents. I remember my work experience in Enugu State where I met with a lot of young stars who needed to promote their songs and i'd always ask them, how do you intend to sell your brand", but they'd always say "Aunty Clare, we just want to promote first". You find out that how clueless they are, you find out they don't much about putting their work to value. God has given each of us the talents we can handle, it's left for us to work towards making it a success.

I have been researching on this to make sure I equip them with the best knowledge. First, i'll love to engage them by asking if the want to make money from their talents? Ask how they would want to achieve it. Then let them know the steps to making money from their talents/gifts. Well, if you've got a good talent and you have no need to make money out of it, why don't you make money and give out to some one who wants his/her dreams fulfilled.

Have you ever heard the saying: " find what you love doing, and get paid for it"?

I look forward to meeting and interacting with these young ones tomorrow, 5th of March, Yaba. My little contribution to our society. Big thanks to Reshayo, for believing in my brand. ‎

Being Mrs. Right

We almost forget that as much as we want our Mr. Right, he also wants to find Mrs. Right. Who doesn't want a good wife or companion biko, well I'm talking to the "men". Gone are the days when they wanted just big booty, big boobs, fine face, long hair and a girl whose steps make a statement, oh please....all na wash. Now the men, go through close friends or family or colleagues to get the exact specification they need. In their words, I need a lady who will not give me wahala, a lady who is prayerful and can take care of my children".....and even more wishes. While we crave for a tall, dark and hands some, but you know, can pray, thry crave for even more, they want to go as far as finding out how our mothers treated or are still treating our fathers, they do more of the underground check than we do. Many of us (ladies) just need a man who would feel up the emptiness and do not consider this is a lifetime bond. You don't want to wake up a year later, stare at him and wonder why you did not go for Michael.

There's a lot we need to be conscious of, our character, our approach to life, our tolerance and patience level, our ability to take care of situations, our strength in prayers and in things that concerns God, etc.

Being Mrs. Right shouldn't cause anything stress, it should be a constant mental preparation to a happy life. No one is perfect, yes we totally agree, but as such, every one can work towards perfection.

I am Papa Ginika's Mrs. Right, lol. I also hope you're his Mrs. Right. ‎

What you should know by Yinka

I know starting over can be scary. For some of us, closing unhealthy chapters with certain people can be quite of a challenge. But my question to you is, what is having peace of mind worth to you? Keeping yourself unnecessarily attached to drama is not good for you. Entertaining someone day in and day out who isn't committed to your growth and happiness will eventually drain you. There is a whole world out there waiting for you to make beautiful memories in. Today, start taking steps towards regaining your happiness again. Start making plans to cut ties with people who aren't helpful with guiding you towards becoming a greater human being. Sometimes the only reason why your situation hasn't changed in a positive way is because you have not changed the negative people that you keep yourself around.

Ladies we love it when you speak life into us. We love it when you can speak encouraging words into us because it helps us grow into becoming greater men. Your words help plant seeds of greatest inside of your man. That is one of the reasons why the right woman in the right man's life will always carry a special kind of significance. Her love can inspire the greatest things inside of him. He can become a lot more confident. He can become a lot more focused and driven towards his dreams. He can keep himself motivated with his goals for longer periods of time just behind the goodness of her love and her words. Ladies you have an unbelievable amount of influence in your man's life. The more you speak into us, the greater we end up becoming.

No matter how long it takes...

It may take a while for you to be fully awarded for your good works, your dedication, your time, don't give up. Keep pushing, be better than yesterday, work even harder.

It took Leonardo DiCaprio years to achieve the Oscars, my favourite actor of all time.

Lesson: no matter how long it takes, you will have your own day as long as you keep putting in that work. Never relent.‎

Staying with what you love!

You are so far, yet I can touch you.
I can see your mind without you talking.
What happened to us?
We used to be inseparable.
Now we are apart, side by side, yet facing opposite directions.
I miss those lovely days when we would stare at each other and listen to the beautiful sound of a gulp.
Funny how we couldn't stop no matter how hard we tried.
Your body all hard as crystal, your soul so cold, yet warms my heart. Days when tears drop just at the sight of your irresistible shape.
How I yearn for you right now.
No matter what, our memories won’t ever fade away.
No matter how much I wash my face to rid myself of the memories, you linger on like the sound of music.
One more taste of that sweet black liquid.
One more of the chilled liquid.
Coca Cola is all I need.
My Cola and I

Moral: show love to that thing/person you love so much, dedicate time and appreciate it/him/her. Beautiful week ahead Fam. Watch out for #GoneGrey
