My wedding I must say was a success, a big success. There were temptations here and there to make me angry even on my big day . First I want to say a big thank you to all my bridesmaids especially my chief for making my day special. Also to all the groomsmen, a big shout out to you all, I love you guys. Let me share a few angry moments apart from the occasional quarrels with my husband…..hehehehehe (worth it) and also a few happy ones.
Let’s start with the rings: would love to mention the culprit’s name but my husband says I should please not destroy their business, so let’s call them the “ring people”. I saw a ring that I liked on the ring people’s Instagram page, mum checked it out by going to their store, I paid more than half of the cost and when it was time for them to deliver my ring, the ring people said my ring had been ‘mistakenly sold’. Like seriously!! To say I was upset is an understatement. And because the time I had to order a new set of ring was too close to the wedding, I had to settle for an alternate ring (from the ring people) to be used on the D Day pending when I had time to buy the ring I so desire.
Meanwhile, for the record, when I tried selling the alternate ring I got from the ring people’s store, I got a shocker, the value of the ring sold was ridiculously less than the amount it was sold to me, apparently, the ring people multiplied the original cost by almost 7. Let’s leave that…
And my hair: the lady came in 30mins to when my wedding mass was supposed to start. I literally screamed her outta my room. *smiles*… let’s leave the bad to the good.
From when I stepped outta my hotel room to church till after the after party I was full of smiles. And right now I am filled with joy. The honeymoon……whew!! Oh the HONEYMOON was our honeymoon and it was romantic, amazing and adventurous as we went to two different continents. One of the luxury hotels had all things required in an apartment so I was able to cook delicious meals for my husband though I bin wan use pepper wound am…*lolzz but he ate it smiling and the other hotel was just wonderful, like they were literally waiting for us. Shout out to Folasade, for the amazing honeymoon package. Ohhh… we met one badt a** guy at the airport and he was putting on a jalamia with nothing inside but pant (yellow pant). Yes I said it, pant not boxers.
I would love to write more, infact I just gave a summary but I have to stop so as not to consume too much of my bestie blog space. But I must say…’marriage is a beautiful thing’.
Ps: my name is Sophie an I married a wonderful man Mr Femi Awopetu and I love him so very much . May God bless us and bless you. Amen.
