Dear Diary from a sister

Dear Diary, I decided to pick you up so I can write and express myself completely. I hope I can confide in you again, I hope I can still trust you? I write in tears. Remember the last time I wrote to you, I was so excited and blushed all through I typed each word....the feeling is gone, I feel completely empty, I feel helpless.

Dear Diary, you know after that break up, you remember yea? The one where I resolved to give a chill for a while before allowing the butterflies get to me again? Yes,that one, so I kept to it for a while, though I met a few I was to try and experiment but sincerely, I just wasn't ready. Months gone by and then I met a friend who happens to be my Ex,hmmm......long story. We met and immediately, I felt that butterflies, I was super excited, it came all natural, it felt new, it felt like I was presented an award, at the time we met again, I couldn't remember anything that happened between us, I mean what caused the break up. That was when I wrote to you telling you how happy I was again. It's been weeks and months of happiness, forgiveness, openness, sincerity, faithfulness, laughter, sweet emotions....just think of the good stuff. This last week has been the most memorable week this year, it's been one trip to the other, it just feels good having someone to care for me and love me genuinely, someone who understands my every reaction, facial expression, someone who knows me in and out, someone who respects and adores me. Dear Diary, I can go on and on, but sadly, all these will come to a slow motion in two weeks. He will be travelling to the U.S in two weeks for his masters and probably get a job and reside there. It hurts like crazy. Although there's not been any talks on dating but I just hate that this happy feeling will be over in just a twinkle of an eye.

Dear Diary, I read and hear about how people fall in love and how happy they are, I just experienced it again and just when I decided within myself to be happy with this, then there goes the trip. I feel really sad, I caught myself crying but i've been praying to get over this and be strong. I totally have forgotten how it is to be loved till I allowed this and now....

Dear Diary, i'm happy I have you to talk to, thank you so much.

A Letter To Sisters (Money and other values of a man) by Chinedu Nwadike

Have you ever wondered how the world was run when there was nothing like money? Did you ever ask what the value of virtues like gratitude, love, kindness and friendship were? They used to be earned, now they can be bought.

Most men are bunch of cowards who cannot offer a complete sentence to a lady without asking for their digits.

Can we fix women?
It has been a question of ridicule, as we go on everyday predicting uncertainty in things that are certain, claiming we never saw it coming.

Success has no definition. But contentment is the best for it. We can never want more when we are successful. It is more like finding a missing screw, you will never need anything again because the joint will now be tight.

That kind of success is only for machines and not for women [better say we men as well]. Most of them believe that God can only use men to solve their problems and not themselves or their fellow women.

Some ladies have become an investment bank for men and at the end of the day, they call him destiny helper, volunteer, financer, sponsor, etc. He came because he probably wants to marry you, but you took his gifts because he is a destiny helper. How can we love a gift and hate the giver? Is a man’s gift not supposed to make way for him?

Just a little story
Every now and then we hear stories of a trader training a girl in school and she abandons him at the end of the day for a fellow graduate or someone more polished.

Ladies always get away with it, but in most cases some of them die in it. Well, that’s a little story.

What’s the value of a man?
Company, love, protection, sex and friendship could all go but what am I missing? because the last time I checked, we are in 2015?

Money! The value of a man is now his money. Accomplishments are like the bottle of a perfume, but money is what you perceive.

In what is tougher than the famous ‘Battle of Muzanga’, men toil daily like the cursed Adam to make a lady smile. Some others have two or more since polygamy is never too bad. What do we get at the end of the day? Women shining their teeth like a teller officer, making you feel like you are the only customer in the bank. Of course, you were, at the very moment, but you still have to be brief because others are waiting.

Can ladies be better?
Maybe one out there can be, but not all of them. Christmas is here and some of them have already made a list of whom they would be getting gifts from as if it is their birthdays.

Ladies should most often curtail their ‘I want’ syndrome. The more you want, the more you lose value and the more you will only be seen as the thing in-between your legs. A sex machine.

I have seen women take up causes against domestic violence, rape and early marriage but none has ever moved towards dignity restoration.

Is anything better than money?

Hmm. No. Yes but I forgot someone will tell me to forget about the biblical virtuous woman and face the reality of the Nigerian virtuous woman who in most cases delivers ‘garbage in, garbage out’ love.

If your money isn’t coming, no love for you and this could also be applicable to a wife.  I don’t want to starts flattering us with some Bible quotations and sweet things that have been said about women, but there are other sweet things about men, aside money. The only problem is that if we embrace them, it will be very difficult to have more than one man.

You must know this
Men like everything easy. He wants to sleep with you, and all he does is just make sure he gets it with minimum commitments. He pays off your feelings and even when you are falling in love with him, he doesn’t care because even ghosts understand that he doesn’t owe you.

Ladies go on feeling used and so on, but that isn’t the case. You can never find love in the pocket. It is in the heart. You can never find it in the heart of a man who is looking at your waist and chest.

We all need money to solve problems, but one thing for sure is that someday, we will be tired of taking the money. We would want a ring, love and a man who cares and is ready to go all the way for us genuinely. Everyone wants that fairy tale life.

I know I have said a lot of ‘we’ on this, but I am still a guy and I want things to be better for our ladies. I just hope my letters have been meeting us well.

The Power Of Attitude by Gift Jonah

The year is approaching its end and everyone is looking forward to 2016 but I’d like for you to look back at the pass months and assess all you were able to achieve, what you planned to achieve but couldn’t due to some factors, obstacles and challenges not forgetting your opportunities too and how well you grabbed it when they came, decisions that you regret taking, things you would have done better but didn’t.
I want to believe some people already have set goals they desire to achieve next year. I don’t know about you but I have written down my goals for 2016 and have begun plans on how I will execute them effectively God help me. These remaining weeks of the year, I’d like you to assess yourself internally and Identify areas you need to improve on. The next few weeks will be dedicated to self-development.

We need to know

I've heard different people talk about this, I even got an opinion from a priest which is fascinating. I want more contributions, plus I need to learn na #LOL

Our WCW is the beautiful Mortunez

She is Omotunde Omosunmola Kelani, from Abeokuta in Ogun state .
She studied Mass communication in Moshood Abiola Polytechnic and with her qualifications, she has had the opportunity to work with two different radio stations, which are Rockcity Fm Abeokuta , Spacefm 90.1 Ibadan and still moving pretty strong. #Strength of a woman.
She's a media personality, a makeup lover and you could call her a photographer *smiles **

She believes so much in God ,and that's something she really never jokes with , basically that's it for her .

Reaching out to Orphans is something the beautiful Omotunde enjoys doing, and by the grace of God, In this festive period working with Aunty Lanre Initiative, they should be reaching out to over 200 orphans.
She is independent, optimistic, focus and a goalgetter. This really pushes her to do even more.

Recently, she decided to venture into  something else asides from radio and all ... She had the opportunity of working with one of the biggest photographers in Ibadan and to the glory of God, she is now the manager of Image Plus Fotography , that offers different types of photography: photo session , model shots, wedding pictures, etc. And I trust this festive period will be filled with lots of discounts. So if you live in Ibadan or you're thinking of visiting there this period, then think Image Plus Fotography. Follow her on her IG and Twitter, for more info.

OUR MONDAY CRUSH IS THE TALENTED COMEDIAN - FOREVER

Meet Akuidolo Orevaoghene but as a comedian, he is known as FOREVER which was created from OREVA. He hails from Delta state and Isoko by tribe. A mechanical engineering graduate of the Institute of management and technology, Enugu , #Hehe but I guess Nigeria changed his destiny and made him a comedian.

Read about him:

TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHILDHOOD AND EDUCATION...

My childhood was fun as we would always go to my grandma's house every weekend. It was a time to always look forward to because we would eat as we wanted, play without restriction and given all we asked for. It was generally fun.

My educational background is simple. I started from Jameb commercial school, Ughelli, till i got to primary two‎ before i proceeded to Oharisi Model Primary school. For secondary school education, i attended Government college Ughelli, and then proceeded to the Institute of management and technology, Enugu. I am still in the school of life though. No one graduates from that school.

WHEN DID YOU START COMEDY?

I actually started cracking jokes in 2007 but before then i was already doing stage plays. Anyway it was in 2005 that i first say a stand up comedy performance as we were watching "Nite of a thousand laughs" but it was "I go dye" that really inspired me and that was it started for me.

I have performed in many shows ranging from Alibaba spontaneity, Stand Up Nigeria, Tymeout with Tee A, I was one of the anchors at I.laff with Mc Abbey and many other shows. I also host my own comedy show known as "LAUGH SYRUP with FOREVER" which runs annually.

Well for awards, some small recognitions though but i don't have any that have come with a plaque yet‎ #smiles.

WHAT IS YOUR SOURCE OF INSPIRATION?

God inspires me. Life, right values, the future inspires me but as for comedy i am quick with thoughts, so once i see something, my mind begins to develop pictures and the humour in it begins to manifest. My mentors are Mc Abbey, Saco and Owen Gee. My role models are Alibaba, ‎John Maxwell and Fela Durotoye.

Yes, i play all instruments mentally but most importantly i clap my hands#smiles

IF NOT COMEDY WHAT ELSE?

If not comedy, I would have been a public speaker and writer, which i am still partially into at the moment. I write, i am also a radio presenter and i do a bit of acting. It's not difficult to joggle both because it's kind of knitted together. Yes, it has affected me positively as i am now more mature. I know a lot of people are willing to learn from me and i am not willing to disappoint them, so i tend to remain a great role model for them.

I am a proud Nigerian and all i wish for this country is that we should be able to stand up for ourselves and do what is right subconsciously.

ADVICE TO THE YOUNG ONES...

Be sure of what you want to become. Become better at who you are. Find a way to grow and always remember that talent is not enough. Thank you so much.
