to be honest, none of them matters to me, I don't trust our healthcare industry even when we pay high and I will probably give the 5K out to somebody who needs it more than me... So I suggest we improve our institutions then pick btw money and free service
@Tope, you realise we have some institutions that have been on ground for ages but what we lack in this part of the world is the maintenance culture....so would you rather we wait for an improved institution?
@Tope, you realise we have some institutions that have been on ground for ages but what we lack in this part of the world is the maintenance culture....so would you rather we wait for an improved institution?
Well even if u present something completely beneficial to the people, there's still a clear distinction between whats best and what the people wld prefer....especially in the financial climate in the country.
Yes, small money is way better than No money; when you earn Zero Naira a month, N5000 per month is honeymoon bliss. Lol....
As a young graduate 5K is cream money and your internet subscription. But of course you want more!
Nigerians want to work- we need jobs in this country. Hence, I'll prefer that instead of giving the billions of Naira to Nigerians which will really not accomplish much, give it companies in tax abatement as they create jobs and hire ppl. If many gain employment they will be able to support their families and that will also improve the consumer economy which will in turn spur the creation and expansion of SMEs- more money in the economy and more minimum wage job, it's cyclical!
@Clare, udunno somehun, let me tell you somehun, I suggested we improve our institutions before picking btw money and free service, if we set up an institutionalized maintenance system, that will solve YOUR poor maintenance culture . *drops mic*
*picks up mic* @Tope, it's been a difficult situation. A lot of facilities and properties abandoned for years, oh even the BRT of yesterday is now a molue. Redemption, we need. @Cyril, real analysis. Let's hope the change starts in all spheres. @Joseph, indeed the people have a choice. If only we had better platforms, it would only need adaptation to an organised system.
i actually believe that creating more job opportunities would be a better solution. reduce the unemployment rate and life would be better in our country. *strolls away*
*sips tea* Creating more Jobs will solve nothing if the corrupt mindset of you Nigerians is not changed, I paid 15,500 for a licence and got only 6500 prove of payment and there is no institution to report such crime to.
let's have institutions that will tackle every issues we can itemize
*in Dark Vader"s voice* may the force be with y'all
@tope the last time i checked the me "Olawale Temitope" is a Nigerian name. so u cn deny Nigeria all you want but guess what!!!!!!!!! it runs in not just r blood but ur name. and yes creating more jobs would help lots of people and also reduce the crime rate *scatters the blazing mic
@Sophire well Udunno norhun, It cost 6000 to change name.
the unemployed ones are not the only ones to be blame for the crime rate... what about people in government offices extorting people who are desperate e.g remember when some fellows died for a government job.
If you think the unemployment rate is causing the crime rate then you should agree with me that you Nigerians need to change your mindset.
wait first sef, when you were unemployed, did you break into a bank?
I agree with you that the employment rate is high, I am emphasizing that we need an institution to handle the situation, not just jobs that will be given to people who don't even need it
@Tope you see that that 5k cannot even help you change your name so 5k not the problem. yes people are corrupt even you giving that security 500naira for just "buy yourself a drink', my dear that also is part of corruption because when he gets a higher paying job it would still not be enough
no i definitely didn't break into a bank, but i had loved ones who i could ask from time to time and a father that understood the economy. what about those who don't have people to lean on?what about those that struggled to see themselves through school?what about parent with very little resources that managed and starved to put their children through school? gone are those days when employers would come looking for you when you have ur first degree, now even with PhD you would be trekking from one place to another looking for one small job to do just to survive.
so yes creating job opportunities would go a long way and yes someone has to govern it.
before we point fingers, we should look at ourselves in the mirror first
*sips tea* that's what I have been saying, We need an institution to govern it, not just one individual.
case study: Piracy in America, there is an institution governing it, works, there is even a body to govern that the police departments are doing what they are meant to do. also working
If we have an institution to make sure that jobs are offered fairly to qualified candidates without sentiments... then dayum, we will be fine
On both sides, I would say well done to @Sophire and @Tope the true Nigerian. Let's not make a case study out of Nigeria. Developed vs developing countries, haba @Tope, we still have a lot of work to do. We asked for change, we hope the FEC will do the right thing. The change we need is a drastic one. Dear Soph and Tope, unite as one Nigeria and be happy citizens.

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by @Sophire. We only can hope for a better Nigeria, work in unit rather than sit and criticise.

Oh Lord. Why do you keep throwing this mic. Let others use it too. And @Tope, we are Nigerians not "you Nigerians". Olawale Temitope is a Nigerian.
Delete@Tope, clearly you are sipping lipton without milk. But you add a few sugar cubes.
DeleteYou said 'no institutions to report to...' and I said 'create more jobs.' I say coincidence! 😊
5k only if the facilities are available for use. We pray it works and work well.
ReplyDelete@Clare, You Nigerians like claiming famous persons,
ReplyDeleteI am from where the land meets the sky. Where the eagle and the raven fly free. I live under the sun and the moon.
